ANNUAL MEETING

Tuesday, March 7, 2023 

7 PM at Westside Pizza, Poulsbo, WA

The Annual Meeting was Called to Order by President Bob Stewart at 7:00 P.M.

Quorum present with DRCO homeowners and proxies.

Treasurer’s Report

2022 Report

  • Dennis Peters, DRCO Treasurer, looking back at our 2022 finances, explained several sections such as depreciation, maintenance, and professional services.
  • He also answered questions such as yearly accounting/audit.
  • The DRCO fines seem to working so dues are paid and homeowners are following the DRCO rules.
  • Our current savings are invested in CDs with Edwards Jones.
  • As of October/November 2022, our landscaping crew now empty our dog stations for $20/month.

2023 Budget

  • The operating budget doesn’t include fines or late payment fees .
  • Dennis Peters is meeting with our Accounting firm re: taxes. Allowance is made for legal fees of $400 in 2023
  • Possible additional costs could include a) DRCO Webmaster; b) Arborist every 1-3 years; c) person to water the plants at Noll Road entrance. Using “tree diapers” was one suggestion.
  • A motion was made by Rena and seconded by Peter Collins to approve the 2023 DRCO Budget. Motion PASSED

The topic of restricting the number of rental homes was brought forward. The issue did not proceed after the 2022 Annual Meeting because 100% of the DRCO homeowners (as required by law) did not agree to vote on the proposal. We presently have twenty (20) rental homes or 14% in our Community.

 

President’s Report

The damaged mailbox on Bjorn has been replaced and installed with costs paid by the insurance company.

The question “What is a well-kept yard?” was brought up by President Bob. He reminded all that our Community needs to maintain our yards to keep our values up. Rhetorical questions included: a) trash cans in the front; b) lawns not mowed; c) lawns with dandelions, but mowed;  d) how is well-kept determined

Election of One DRCO Director

Two candidates were nominated for Director: Mary Heino and Dennis Peters

Dennis Peters won election as DRCO Director for two (2) years..

The Annual Meeting was adjourned at 7:55 P.M.

After the Annual Meeting, a Director Meeting, with Bob Stewart and Dennis Peters, was held. Dennis Peters was elected DRCO President for the next year.
